This effective summer program will give your entering 6th-8th grader the skills to become a better reader, stronger writer, and more successful student.
Double Reading Speed
In this program, your son or daughter will learn to read twice as fast. Reading faster improves concentration and comprehension, makes reading more enjoyable, and helps students complete schoolwork quickly and easily.
Build Comprehension
Under the guidance of a highly trained teacher, your middle schooler will learn to track story structure, plot, theme, and character development in a classic novel. Lively class discussions help students build these essential comprehension skills.
Strengthen Writing Skills
Students learn to communicate ideas effectively in well-crafted sentences and well-organized paragraphs. They also learn to avoid common errors that trip up middle-school writers. Your son or daughter will come away confident and prepared for any writing challenge.
Study Textbooks & Nonfiction
Your child will learn the most effective strategies for tackling textbooks and nonfiction. Students learn to recognize how information is organized, identify main ideas, and take clear, well-organized notes to retain even the most difficult material.
